Copperhouse Adventure Training (CAT) is to work with the Young Foundation in their Young Academy Project.

Copperhouse Adventure Training is a charity set up to ensure that all of the young people in our area have access to high quality, good value adventurous activities and we believe that both economic or social background should not be a barrier to these life changing opportunities.

The Young Academy is the Young foundations flagship programme in education.

The mission of the Young Academy is to ensure new social ventures working in the field of education have the business capability and investment they need to improve the educational outcomes of disadvantaged young people. The programme was launched in March 2014 with funding from the Cabinet Office, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, UBS and the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.

Through the Young Academy, we seek to build strong links with local schools and other education institutions. We believe that holding the programme in Medway presents a unique opportunity for the local community to engage with innovative approaches to improving educational outcomes for its young people.

Following the initial programme, we will have opportunity to apply to the Young Academy investment fund for up to £150,000.

Copperhouse Adventure Training are very proud to be working in partnership with the Young Academy. We realise that to maximise the impact on the area as a whole we will need to be working in partnership with a number of providers and institutions. If this sounds like you then please contact us so we can discuss future options in detail.
